Quest rewards
Am i the only person who thinks experience for quest arnt that great??? i mean seriously i did almost all the ez to find quest in the begining part of the game and it only gave around 250 experience i even remeber doing a quest that made u killa bear... the beasr gave me 100 exp each and the quest gve me 250... i think expereience for the rewards suck...i mean some times its usefull.. but most the time i mean its not good , the only quest i EVER really enjoyed the reward from was the pig one where the farmer gave u 25 bucks..
i like more quest where u actually get stuff.. i mean even the quest where the people give u items such as the devourer egg i mean dont even do much at the end u pretty much trade the devourer egg for exp too...Need better rewards..or else doing these quest will get sorta meaningless in my opinion especially those lvl 20 ones..im guessing u pretty much only get exp from those too.
i woulda made a pole but dont know how lol

later on in post-sear you get skills for doing quests. That is a nice reward. Also in pre-sear if you do the prince quest he gives you 100 gold. plus the missions give toy 1000xp and a skill point. So yes it does get better.

First off, please try to type out the words for what you are saying pursuant to the policies of this site. Only other people who use "chat speak" can fully understand what you posted, the rest, like myself, are basically guessing.
The experience reward seems great enough considering you need skill points to buy skills and refund points to adjust your attributes. Gold can be nice, however if the quest you took on included killing anything then it is very likely you already got gold, some item drops, and the exp from those kills too.
I tend to be satisified with GuildWars design because I realize GuildWars isn't all about uber drops that give one player such a substantial advantage so I don't hope for such things as a reward. If I were playing an mmorpg that had really high level bosses on some damage-to-defense curve that put me at such a major disadvantage I need an extreme amount of experience or a special item to accelerate my achieving level 90, then I would be pretty upset about getting 250 experience because i might need 75,000 to get from level 69 to level 70. So for me it's pretty easy to appreciate the GuildWars reward system.

I agree, that better quest rewards, and actually item quest rewards are not needed. The odd Item here and there might be nice, but In terms of the game, I think I'd much rather get some crafting matierials as a reward.
Later on you see 2000/1000 exp rewards for quests, so you've nothing to worry about there. Currently, It is very easy to get to level 20, I plaid GW for about 30 hours, of which actual killing of monsters was more like 20, and I got to level 12. Level isn't really that important, except it does increase your health, which is nice.

During this Beta Weekend, I had taken a level 6 character and got to level 15. Not incredible, but most of my Sunday was filled with PvP, and it's more than satisfactory for me. You know how I gained most of my levels? Missions and quests. I did missions to get to a new place, then quests to gain the skills and levels I thought I would need to survive in the new place. I never thought quests had bad rewards, and the joy you get when you recieve a skill, even if you would never use it, is worth the quest.

I agree doing the quests is a fun experience, i really don't think of how much the reward is. I think of the reward as a nice bonus for having a little bit of fun.

In other games (namely EQ2) quests were pointless and if the reward wasnt suitable you'd be pissed. These quests arnt that bad though. Short travel time for non combat quests and fighting quests are generaly challenging but do-able at any level. I think the rewards are fine.

Quest rewards
The devs have said that anything your character does affects future aspects of the game. In that case, I'm wondering if doing/not doing a certain quest in pre-searing Ascalon might not affect quest in post-searing. Look at the Histories of Ascalon quest in post-searing, you can't get this quest unless you do the Cities of Ascalon first.
I didn't do any pre-searing this last BWE so I can't say with any certainty whether or not what is done pre-sear affects anything post-sear, but it would make sense, wouldn't it.
That being said, I enjoyed the quest pre-searing I did in the March BWE, I figured that was the point to the pre-searing area, getting you acquanted with the NPC's you run into later and their back stories.

well im saying that ya some quest are fun but i mean getting exp everytime gets alittle consistant...i know there a a few money quest whihc i like, and some skill quest.. what about the vendors giving u a vial of dye?? or some crafting materials?? a bow string??, someting ''new'' instead of 250 exp almost everytime... its gets sorta pointless when u get way out there like i was in pre ascalon doing all the questjust to play waiting for friend when the person would give me 250 exp for like a 30 min long quest.. when u already get like 500exp just fomr the quest..

I dont think much of the rewards, buy i disagree about having to much exp for rewards. in EQ2, you level up slow and i like the challenge of that. if you level too quick, then wats the point of the game???too boring if youre too powerful

Well... in Nigthfall, some or the rewards are Heroes, Merchants, Lightbringer points...
- 100 Lightbringer poitns saves you from having to kill 50 monsters!
- Skill quests saves 1000gold for each skill!
- And quest reward items saves you a lot of cash, you can get Hunter's ale instead the 600gold worth dwarven ale or 400 gold Rice liquor.
But I also think they should 'redo' some quest rewards in previous campaings, excepting the 'rare' items of some quests, most Prophecies quest give you items that cannot be sol for more than 100gold once identified and you can find easilly better items than that while playing, or with other character.

Quest rewards
Having beaten Factions in a relatively short period of time receiving a green item and a lot of fanfare for doing so, I was extremely disappointed when after literally months of effort on my part I was finally able to complete the Titan Source quest in Prophecies to find the reward was 50,000 experience. No end of game credits, no cinematic, nothing... I have to say it was a let-down after so much time spent completing it. My suggestion is not a monetary reward, but perhaps an emote or title to acknowledge people who have beaten any of the games. Perhaps "Defender of Tyria" or "Vanquishing Hero", etc... To many of us guild wars is all about the storyline and it seems wrong that PvP characters can get emotes and titles for PvP, but people who spend hours, weeks and months doing quests get no recognition. "Protector" title is nice, but if you have ever done the Titan quests, you know that they are much more difficult than anything the missions have to offer.
